Most aspects of the 2023 Tundra are identical to the 2022 Tundra. This is because the Tundra’s newest generation debuted last year with extensive updates throughout. However, there is one notable change for the 2023 Tundra. This update applies specifically to the SR5 trim level, which is the second of seven trims available. The Tundra SR5 now has an optional SX appearance package. If you choose to upgrade your Tundra with this package, the interior and exterior will both have black trim. In 2022, the Tundra’s current powertrains were introduced. These are a turbo 3.5-liter, V6 gas system that generates 389 horsepower and a Hybrid Max variation that produces 437 combined horsepower. Both are linked to an automatic 10-speed transmission. Depending on the 2023 Tundra trim selected, the truck will include towing equipment, drive mode selection, a front suspension lift, skid plates, Fox suspension dampers, a rear locking differential and Crawl Control.
