The Toyota Supra stopped selling at the stateside in 1998 after the launch of the Mark IV generation. The automaker would offer it standard with a Turbo variant with 440,508 MSRP. The Supra would cost way more than potential buyers were willing to pay for in a seemingly dying sports car market. Buyers would instead opt for the BMW E36 M3 series that would sell at almost the same price. Stiff competition from models such as the Porsche Boxster made it even tougher for the Toyota Supra to sell in a competitive sports car market. As a result, Pueblo Toyota specials decided to pull the plug. However, Toyota has a few years ago reinvented the Mark IV Supra. It has even become a star in the Fast and the Furious, which is the largest automotive movie franchise in Hollywood history. The movie has put the Mark IV Supra on a massive pedestal and brought it back to the limelight. Fans around the world have since then clamoured for the revival of the 2020 Toyota GT Supra near Colorado Springs.
