The all-wheel drive and the acceleration from the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine delivers a confident drive. The transmission is an electronically controlled continuously variable (ECVT) and sequential shift mode transmission.
For a better ride and handling, the 2020 Toyota Camry has the new Global Architecture (TNGA) platform, electric power steering (EPS), power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, and a strong, lightweight frame. The Camry has 12-inch power-assisted ventilated front disc brakes, 11.06-inch solid rear disc brakes with hydraulic brake booster, a four-wheel anti-lock brake system (ABS), an electronically controlled braking (ECB) system, electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), and integrated regenerative braking. For a smooth ride, the Camry offers independent MacPherson strut front suspension with a stabilizer bar, multi-link rear suspension with a stabilizer bar, and front strut tower bracing.

The Camry’s safety starts with the AWD that sends up to 50% of the power to the rear wheels in slippery conditions such as rain, snow, or gravel. Side-impact door beams are built into the frame.
