Raising the Camry's capability, the new Camry four-cylinder turbo earns 203 horsepower in the LE, SE and XLE models. That rises to 206 horsepower with the sporty XSE model. You also get better fuel economy. Now this four-cylinder turbo can earn 28 mpg city and 39 mpg highway. That's 32 mpg combined. Driving enthusiasts always want to know about the Camry V6. Outgoing models produces 268 horsepower. They earned 21/30 mpg city/highway. The new V6 Camrys generate 301 horsepower and 267 lb-ft. of torque. Toyota engineers manages to boost fuel economy at the same time they boosted horsepower. So this new powertrain earns 22/33 mpg. A new eight-speed transmission helps these models do more with less fuel. This special Direct Shift ECT-i automatic offers sequential shift mode. Driver select functions can change how it responds to driving cues. A new 208-horsepower hybrid edition manages to improve fuel economy even more. Top ratings show 51 mpg city and 53 mpg highway. It is mated to a continuously variable automatic with sequential shift mode.

The 2017 Camry is one of the few in its class to have ten airbags, and that continues with the 2018 edition. Another new feature, the ten-inch color Head-up Display shows you the speed, navigation, shift position, and much more.
